With 109hp an 0 – 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds, with a top speed of 186 km/h and cuts the grass, which is the new Guinness lawnmower speed record by Honda’s “Mean Mower”, a project by Team Dynamics, which runs Honda’s British Touring Car Championship team, what started as a HF2620 Lawn Tractor, but was re-engineered from the ground up with custom chromoly frame and a 1.0L 109hp engine from the Honda VTR Firestorm. It also out accelerates every car Honda sells now.
Team Dynamics took a page from Toyota’s Le Mans playbook and mounted the fuel tank where the grass bag was, which is the same as the Toyota mounted the GT-One’s fuel tank in the luggage compartment, along with a custom 6 speed paddle operated transmission and a steering rack taken from the Morris Minor. The Mean Mower is still actually able to cut grass, with 2 electric motors that spin with a 3mm steel cutting cables at 4000rpm, which allows grass to be cut at a speed of 25 km/h, it was done at IDIADA Proving Ground in Spain, with Piers Ward of Top Gear Magazine behind the wheel.
